A very warm welcome to the website for the Japanese International
School - an authorised IBWorld School.
The Japanese International School in Hong Kong opened in 1997 and has
developed a very special niche in the provision of international schooling
within Hong Kong. We are very proud to be known as a very friendly
school that offers all our families a strong commitment to education
within a very special environment. We have recently been accredited as
an IB(International Baccalaureate) ‘World School’ and therefore
offer the PYP (Primary Years Programme) as our curriculum This
curriculum is in
line with our desire to be an international school that develops an
understanding within our students, of issues that relate to their lives
in Hong Kong and also those of the world beyond. Many of our students
come from a range of nationalities and so our curriculum is designed to
reflect this. I would like to welcome you to visit our school to see for
yourselves the range of what we can offer.
At JIS we can offer a unique environment that offers state of the
art facilities located within rural surroundings that are easily accessible from all
areas of Hong Kong. We offer small sized classes, fully qualified
