Twice a week, the students practice using English in their English
Conversation classes.
The classes have an average student to teacher ratio of 10 to 1. All the
teachers are native English Speakers and classes are conducted entirely
in
English. During class, students are encouraged to use English only to help
them improve their speaking skills.
On an average day, students come to class and are taught a focus language
structure. This is followed by fun activities that require the students
to
practice the language taught.
For Form 1 students, the emphasis is on good pronunciation of vocabulary
taught and simple conversations skills. In Form 2, students continue to
build
on their vocabulary but the emphasis is on expressing themselves fluently
using good grammar.In Form 3,students expand on their English speaking
skills through usage of more complex language structures.
English have become the language that connects people around the world.
Learning how to speak English well will widen students' horizons and enable
them to be more successful in their future.
The goal of the English Conversation class is to better prepare our
students for their future.
